It is sometimes difficult to contemplate, but some children are born with life limiting or chronic conditions and others develop them early in their young lives.

Advances in medical science provides that many of these children can be nursed at home. It is what the families want and it is often better for the children to be with their loved ones, their own toys, pets etc. As can be imagined, this places an enormous burden on the families, a burden willingly undertaken and bravely born.

Demands on the National Health Service, often victims of their own success, results in support to these families being, understandably, limited. This is where ROSY comes in.

We now pay the salaries of nine nurses to provide additional respite support. We will buy any specialist equipment the families may need in the home to make their lives a little more bearable; we provide psychological support where needed; we provide a support group; we hold events for the siblings of the sick children, and much, much more.

The administration of ROSY is sponsored so we can assure you that every penny entrusted to us will go support those families who so need our help.
