PRESS RELEASE:
On behalf of the volunteers of Oxford Round Table, who organise the annual firework display at South Park, we would like to offer our sincere apologies to all those people whose enjoyment of the event was compromised by the playing of music during the display this year. This was not something that was intended and we have already taken a decision over future events.

JACKfm, their stage and their entertainment play an important part in the event, entertaining the crowds and keeping them informed before and after the display and this is greatly appreciated by many who attend the evening. However, the main event is very much the fireworks display and, following the feedback that we have received this year, there will be no music played during the course of the fireworks display at future events.

We have been delighted by the response of people to the display itself and you can be assured that we will continue to improve the display and event each year to the best of our ability, so that spectators will continue to enjoy the event and help us to raise as much money as possible that will be passed to worthy local charities and causes.
